FS Roma recently completed a comprehensive overhaul of a KUMERA gearbox belonging to CMP, carrying out a full process of assessment, refurbishment, and functional verification at its facilities.

During the inspection, several internal conditions were identified that required bearing replacement, surface restoration, inspection of shafts and housings, as well as verification of the gear meshing conditions.

Once the work was completed, the equipment underwent functional testing, along with temperature and vibration monitoring, to validate its proper mechanical performance prior to dispatch.
